Avalanche @ Broad Street
We're back in the northeast after spending two weeks in Athens, GA. View the video below for noise and polar bears. A description of the show from the press release:
In August, the Avalanche Collective research team will descend into the muggy terrain of Athens Georgia to create an exhibition at the University of Georgia’s Broad Street Gallery, located at 257 W. Broad St. in downtown Athens.
Seeking shelter within the Dow Jones Mountain Range , the group will explore the physical and virtual habitats of
the city . Avalanche Collective looks to the wilderness of the internet landscape while appropriating the modes and
language of 19th century arctic explorers. They will present their findings in the form of a multimedia sculptural
installation including a multi-channel audio performance during the opening on August 10th, 2007 from 7-10pm.
And, an article in the Athens Banner-Herald.
